OSHA Hazard Determination Criteria

In the hazard determination process, evidence must meet the following criteria in order to establish a hazardous effect:
  • The data are statistically significant
  • At least one positive study was performed according to accepted scientific principles
  • The results of the study meet the definitions of health hazards (addressed in 29 CFR 1910.1200, Appendix A).
