OSHA Hazard Determination Criteria
In the hazard determination process, evidence must meet the following criteria in order to establish a hazardous effect:
The data are statistically significant
At least one positive study was performed according to accepted scientific principles
The results of the study meet the definitions of health hazards (addressed in 29 CFR 1910.1200, Appendix A).
