ARMY SAFETY PROGRAM |
. | |
Supervisor Responsibilities |
|||
Commanders at every level are responsible for assigned personnel and equipment protection and for effective safety and health policy implementation. To accomplish these responsibilities, a commander will use the risk management process and evaluate established standards to determine if additional risk controls are required. A commander will apply Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards and other federal safety requirements to garrison and industrial-type operations and to military-unique equipment, systems, and operations in so far as practicable. For example, a commander will provide the required personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure PPE training and use. |
