ARMY SAFETY PROGRAM

Program Policy

AR 385-10, The Army Safety Program, prescribes Department of the Army (DA) policy, responsibilities, and procedures to:

• Protect and preserve Army personnel
• Protect Army equipment from accidental loss
• Provide for public safety incidental to Army operations and activities
• Provide for safe and healthful workplaces
• Assure compliance with federal statutes and regulations.

The DA policy dictated in AR 385-10 applies to all commands, installations, activities, and units of the Army, National Guard, and United States Army Reserve. This policy consists of specific elements that can be tailored to fit the installation or organization mission.
