ARMY SAFETY PROGRAM

Program Goals

The Army Safety Program goals are tied directly to Army-wide mission goals. The six goals of the Army Safety Program are:

• Ensure the Army provides a safe place for people to work and live
• Integrate effective safety and risk management processes into all Army training
• Ensure safety and risk management is integrated into all levels of doctrine
• Develop safety and risk management strategies for equipment modernization and acquisition
• Provide and integrate safety and risk management into all aspects of leader development
• Structure safety and risk management to sustain any force mix and support any mission, including contingency and other-than-war operations.
