Service piping systems must meet all design and installation safety
requirements. Pipe shall be at least Schedule 40 and fittings shall be at least standard weight in sizes up to and including 6-inch nominal. Schedule 40 pipe is standard black iron pipe which has a working pressure of up to 125 psi and is always tested before use. Problems might arise when line extensions are made with other types of pipe or aluminum tubing. Therefore, a close inspection is necessary.
