Chain slings are commonly used because of their strength and ability to adapt to the shape of the load. Chain slings are also good for lifting hot materials. However, care should be taken when using alloy chain slings because they are subject to damage by sudden shocks. Misuse of chain slings could damage the sling, resulting in sling failure and possible injury to an employee along with damage to equipment and the load. | |||||
