- Familiarize yourself with OSHA
Laboratory Standard (1910.1450) and the facility Chemical Hygiene Plan (CHP)
- Treat all unknown or unlabeled substances as hazardous
- Follow the general biosafety practices
- Familiarize yourself with the facilities radiation safety
program
- Avoid situations which could result in slips, trips, or
falls
- Familiarize yourself with site-specific emergency procedures
- Know and use engineering controls, personal protective
equipment, and good safe work practices.
