MSDS Facility Regulations

Each facility must have a MSDS for each hazardous chemical used or stored on-site, and the MSDSs must be readily available in the work area during each work shift.

If work is carried out at more than one geographic location during a work shift, MSDSs may be kept in a central location at the primary workplace so that employees can immediately obtain required information in an emergency.

Contractors working at sites should maintain MSDSs for the chemicals that they are using on-site or have a method for rapidly obtaining them in the event of an emergency.
