Hearing Conservation Program - Recordkeeping

Noise exposure measurement records must be kept for two years. Records of audiometric test results must be maintained for the duration of the affected employee's employment.

audiometric test records must include the:
  • Name and job classification of the employee
  • Date the test was performed
  • Examiner's name
  • Date of acoustic or exhaustive calibration
  • Measurements of the background sound pressure levels in audiometric test rooms
  • Employee's most recent noise exposure measurement.

All records required by this section shall be provided upon request to employees, former employees, representatives designated by the individual employee, and OSHA.
