The Safeguards for Personal Protection section, based on standard 1910.335,
describes the proper use and maintenance of protective equipment to ensure the safety of
employees working in the area of energized electrical equipment. The topics covered are listed to the left. In general, employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. |
