The requirements discussed below apply to guarding the bandsaw wheels to protect the workers. Bandsaw wheels shall be fully encased. The outside periphery of the enclosure shall be solid. The front and back shall be either solid or wire mesh or perforated metal. In the figure to the left, the wheel guards cover the wheels and protect the operator. |
