Class 2 - Air-Supplying

Supplied-air respirators deliver breathing air through a supply hose connected to the wearer's facepiece or enclosure. The air delivered must be free of contaminants and must be from a source located in clean air. The OSHA requirements for compressed air used for breathing, including monitoring for carbon monoxide, are listed in 1910.134(d). Supplied-air respirators should only be used in non-IDLH atmospheres.
