A fire control analysis must be performed at processing plants. A primary
purpose of this analysis is to ensure that sources of ignition are identified. Specific
measures must be taken to prevent ignition of flammable vapors. Appropriate fire control facilities or equipment must be provided as indicated by the analysis and special plant hazards. Examples of fire control provisions include:
Combustible waste material and residues in a building or operating area are a potential fire hazard and must be kept to a minimum, stored in closed metal waste cans, and disposed of daily. |
