Hazardous Location Equipment

Another consideration for the use of equipment in a hazardous location is the design and construction of the equipment.

Equipment should be designed and equipped in a way that makes it safe for use in specific hazardous locations. There are important factors that influence the design and construction of equipment for use in the three classes of hazardous locations:

Class I - gases vapors and liquids

Class II - dusts

Class III - fibers and flyings.
