Executive Order 12196 includes special provisions related to the General
Services Administration (GSA). GSA responsibilities include:
- Establishing procedures for resolving conflicting standards for space leased by GSA
- Requiring GSA personnel to accompany the OSHA
inspector on inspections of facilities subject to GSA authority
- Assuring prompt attention to reports of unsafe or unhealthy conditions in facilities
subject to the authority of GSA
- Providing safe supplies, devices, and equipment to other agencies and maintaining a
product safety program.
