Flashpoint

The minimum temperature at which a liquid gives off vapor within a test vessel in sufficient concentration to form an ignitable mixture with air near the surface of the liquid. There are several flashpoint test methods, and flashpoints may vary for the same material depending on the method used, so the test method is indicated when the flashpoint is given.
