Small-Quantity, On-site Burner Exemption

Hazardous waste generators (large or small quantities) may burn small quantities of waste in on-site boilers without obtaining an RCRA treatment permit. Restrictions are placed on terrain, adjusted stack heights, boiler total fuel requirement, and heating components. Also, notification and record keeping requirements must be followed.
