Hazardous Waste Storage Areas - Inspections

Hazardous waste containers in the storage area must be inspected weekly for spills, leaks, accumulation dates and accumulation quantities.

A log of the weekly inspection must be maintained.

In some states (i.e., Massachusetts) this inspection requirement also applies to hazardous waste containers stored at the point of generation (i.e., in the lab) -- Check your state regulations.
