Classification

Hazardous Waste Lists
Non-Specific Sources: F003 Solvents

|
If you are working only with F003
solvents, assuming before use that the solvents were pure, any solvent waste stream in an
analytical process will meet the F003 listing.
If you are working with a combination of F003 solvents and other listed solvents (e.g.,
methylene chloride), and the other solvents are greater than 10% before use; the solvent
waste will meet the F003 listing as well as the other appropriate listing - F002 in this
example. (For example, a solvent waste that was 15% methylene chloride and 85% acetone,
before use, is classified as F002, F003 waste.)
F003 solvents are listed only for ignitability, other F-listed solvents are also listed
for toxicity. |
